Hi, I'm
Poppy Seisaki.

Hi, I'm
Poppy Seisaki.

An experienced product designer who enjoys untangling complex problems and turning them into experiences that just make sense... because life is already complicated enough.

I'm a product designer at Plum, working on financial products and the small behaviours that help people build better money habits. I like making complicated things feel obvious to the people using them, shipping quickly, and measuring honestly, even when a bet does not work as expected.

I'm naturally drawn to challenging, ambiguous problems and use research, product thinking, and close collaboration to turn them into clear, scalable products.

My interest in design goes beyond screens, from digital experiences to furniture and physical objects. My background in architecture taught me to think in systems and pay close attention to how form, function, structure, and detail shape the overall experience.

Questions I help teams answer

How do we make complex products feel simple, trusted, and easy to control?

I start by understanding the underlying system, then reduce the experience to the decisions users actually need to make. I make costs, consequences, and next steps visible, especially when money is involved.

How do we create experiences that feel personal without making the product harder to scale?

I look for differences that genuinely change what users need, such as their goals, confidence, eligibility, or behaviour. Then I design shared journeys that adapt through content, logic, and progressive disclosure.

How do we balance customer needs, business goals, regulation, and technology?

I make the constraints explicit early and use them to shape the solution, not limit it at the end. I work with product, engineering, data, and compliance to decide where we can simplify, where we need safeguards, and what trade-offs are worth making.

How do we know whether a solution is changing behaviour and driving impact?

I define the behaviour the product should influence and connect it to clear signals, such as activation, completion, repeat use, drop-off, retention, or support contact. Then I test the riskiest assumptions before investing in the full solution.

Feedback from people I've worked with

"I've seen Poppy grow from a meticulous, detail-focused designer into a confident UX professional who can independently plan, design, and conduct research with an open and unbiased mindset. She brings a strong sense of urgency, quickly takes ownership, and follows things through even when managing competing priorities. She is someone designers can rely on to deliver high-quality work on time. I'm confident in her ability to run credible studies independently, while also being self-aware and open to seeking support when needed."
